Pop culture icon Beyonce will make her first-ever trip to West Africa to headline the first night of the first annual Thisday Music Festival in Lagos, Nigeria, on October 7. Held in celebration of Nigeria’s 46th year of independence, the two-day Thisday Music Festival will feature, on its first night: Beyonce, Jay-Z, Ciara, En Vogue and, on its second night: Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, Missy Elliott, and Busta Rhymes. ‘It’s a great thrill to come to West Africa for the first time to celebrate Nigeria’s independence,’ said Beyonce. ‘I feel blessed for this opportunity for my all-female band and me to appear on stage with some of the world’s most talented artists and share the universal message of peace, hope and beauty that music brings to all of us.’

  8. Thank you all, this is my first post but there are some great answers on this site so I hope you can help. My 14 year old son was booked on Swiss to fly from Nice, France to Valencia Spain this Christmas, there is no direct flight so he had to change at Zurich ( or another main European major hub – I choose Zurich ), he could not go as an unaccompanied as the airlines seem to have a strange policy regarding the 12 to16 year olds here in Europe. It took 57 hours for him to get to Spain! The weather was bad but the airline seemed to have a strange idea about route planning.

  9. it is actually fun to be on music festivals because i love music so much “
