Beyonce Hires Private Jet for Luggage

Singer Beyonce Knowles and rapper boyfriend Jay-Z turned up for a flight with so much luggage they had to charter another jet to carry it all. The superstar couple flew from New York to Johannesburg this week for a magazine photoshoot and holiday in South Africa. They had reserved the entire first-class lounge on the South African Airways Boeing 747 and had double the economy baggage allowance. But they were told there was not enough room on the flight for their ‘almighty collection of suitcases’ – including bling Louis Vuitton bags. A source said: ‘The trip only lasts two weeks but it looked like they were emigrating. The airline were accommodating with their allowance but the check-in desk said that regardless of how much they could afford, there simply wasn’t enough room. Luckily, Jay-Z and Beyonce aren’t short of a bob and coughed up to charter a separate plane.’
In South Africa they took part in a safari. But crew on a photoshoot were stunned when Beyonce, 25, and Jay-Z, 36, insisted on four outfit changes a day – before any pictures had been taken. They also rented two massive lodge houses – meant for up to 50 people – for themselves and their small entourage. Multi-millionaire Jay-Z made his fortune with a prolific recording career.
