Beyonce up for an Oscar

Beyonce Knowles has been tipped for an Oscar for her role as the leading lady in new movie Dreamgirls.

The Destiny’s Child singer stars alongside Jamie Foxx in a movie about a group, based on the 1960s trio, The Supremes.

She said: “Its about the upsides and the downsides of the negative things that come along with fame.

“It just gives off an incredible energy which makes you leave the theatre like anything is possible.”

Despite being tipped for an Oscar, the singer believes director Bill Condon will walk away with Hollywood’s most prized asset.

She added: “I think if anyone was to be nominated it should be the director. He is really talented.”
