James thrilled that Beyonce will play her

Blues legend Etta James yesterday said that she was thrilled at Beyonce playing her on-screen in the film Cadillac Records, a movie about Chess Record label starring Adrien Brody as record boss Chess and Jeffrey Wright as Muddy Waters. Etta said ‘It’s a privilege and an honor to have somebody like that girl. I don’t think she looks like me, but that’s all right. They can fix that up.’ She has also promised to help Beyonce prepare for the role where Beyonce will play Etta

Etta also made it very clear that Beyonce will have a lot of work getting ready for the role. Beyonce will have to reach way beyond her good girl image. ‘Oh my god, she’s going to have a hill to climb, because Etta James ain’t been no angel!’ Etta said.
