Beyonce sold her tour shoes

April 25, 2010 | Comments 1

Three months on since the devastating Haiti earthquake, Beyoncé has teamed up with her friend, The Wire star Idris Elba, to provide a really special money-can’t-buy prize in an ebay auction for Haiti. After being moved by the plight of the Haitian people, Idris Elba (aka Stringer Bell, The Wire) joined forces with the Cultural Diversity Network (CDN) to organise the auction. The CDN – which brings together British broadcasters – has devised an auction that will get people talking, and hopefully get people bidding, all for a good cause.

The hottest prize is likely to be Beyoncé’s donation of THE shoes she wore in the “I am Sasha Fierce” tour, which included her performance of world-wide hit “Single Ladies.” The once-in-a-lifetime prize for any lady who loves her shoes, is this pair of gold UK size 6 stilettos, autographed by the star herself

The auction ended yesterday for US $7,753 – thats one expensive pair of shoes :) For those who want to see the ended auction, you can view it here.
