I want to congratulate Beyonce for all of her success. I am so amazed at her and i’m proud to say she has talent. She is if not the only one african american to accomplish what she has. I don’t think anyone has made a video for each song on their album and convert of them into Spanish and have a theme song on a soap opera in a spanish channel. CONGRATULATIONS!

I just saw Irreplaceable in Spanish for the first time today. I couldn’t believe it was Beyonce…but then the track was followed by Shakira singing Illegal. I think it’s easier to sing in another language without an accent. Shakira certainly doesn’t have an accent when she sings, but it’s obvious when she talks. Beyonce is smart to tap into the Latin market, just like Shakira was to tap into the English market. Today’s music is increasingly international. Just look at the success of fusion songs, like those with Deevani…and how Middle Eastern belly dancing has become increasingly popular in Latin music. You can see this in Europe more than here. A lot of European stars sing in three or four languages.
